Anyone have any information on Benjamen Barass(1851-1925)and Ann Barass (1853-1909) they are my 2nd great grandparents. I have a photo from around then of 2 ladies with Ben Barass written over a door as if it’s s pub licence. She died in Red lion hotel Accrington. He died in 14 Adelphi street. Which is address off pubs. Can anyone spread any light on this. I have hit a wall on ancestry website.

Not connected to me I'm afraid. I think most of Adelphi street has been redeveloped over the years.
There is a page on Facebook.....Burnley Now and Then ...where it might be worth posing this question. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

Have you considered that the name might originally be BURROWS ? I have come across the version BORASS, for BURROWS.
