:cry: Ah well, anotherĀ£7.00 down the drain. The cert. for the marriage of Thomas and Eliz. Ellen has arrived, no father for him!! Letter also arrived from Mrs Halstead at Haggate Church, no records of his parents burial or him in the same grave as I had hoped. Probably means they have no gravestone. Looks like records at Preston are my last hope.

If anyone is searching for the name Thistlethwaite on the other hand, oh boy do I know a lot about that side of the family.Black edged cards for burials at Haggate, records back to 1700 in Newchurch ( I knew my grandmother was good with herbal remedies for a reason !!!!!
