Hi

I am now finally repatriated back to Lancashire after living in Scotland for 8 years. Must say I am fed up with the rain (forgot how much it rains here). Anyway I am back up and running with my family history and have a query. Does anyone know of a Reverend William Sagar born in the Colne area, I don't know his date of birth but it was before 1770. Apparently he had a son (possibly born deaf) who attended a school for the deaf is Edinburgh and appears on the school roll of 1770 (can read his first name though).Would be grateful if anyone has any info they could pass on

Take care

Hi,
You may want to read the e-book "History of Wesleyan Methodism in Burnley and East Lancashire"written by Benjamin Moore, there are several references to a William Sagar of Colne.
