Looking for someone to go to St John the Evangelist in Nelson and find/photograph a grave, also go to Colne or Nelson library and look up an inscription, also search for others in above cemetery.
Any takers?

Glenys

What name/which grave Glenys? I assume you have either death or burial details to hand?

I took some pictures a while back that I have not yet had time to add to the site.
I've also got the Monumental Inscriptions on fiche. If the details are not on there then there will not be a stone as they were documented about 20 years ago if not more. Even if they are on the fiche, there is still a chance there is no longer a stone. Time could have done its own damage but there was work going on in the graveyard the last time I was there and te place was in quite a state.
If no one offers before the next meeting....assuming I can go and spend the day...I'll have a look myself. This does depend upon my being able to go and hubby being able to work form home on that day.
