From Dr Whitaker's "History of Whalley" he outlines the pedigree of Parker of Extwistle & Cuerden. Using this chart. A Robert Parker purchased the manor of Briercliffe and Extwistle from Wm Ramsden in 1554. This Robert Parker married Jane / Joan Haydock. Following this line through two generations we get another Robert Parker of Netherwood in Extwistle (1604-1636) who married Mary Scarborough Glasburn Hall Co. York. But their children were Robert. John. Mary. Elizabeth. Jane. No William
Although there are further Robert Parker's none of them married a Mary. There is another line of the Parker family but this branch does not carry the Extwistle title.
