Dear Members,
I just discovered that my great grandparents were Fred Edmondson and Sarah Bullock.
I would appreciate any information about them. My grandmother Margareth was their
daughter and she was married to Thomas Parkinson.
Kind regards,
Bette

Hi Bette,

there are several threads of Edmondson on "whats in a name" and probably other places. plus there are some photos. Whilst looking I came across a reference to this site which might be worth a plod through.
Also I have Edmondsons who married into my Thornton/Kippax family -- Jane Edmondson (b1817) daughter of Henry and Martha.
What dates are we looking at for yours?? and what sort of info are you looking for? If it is census and bmds I am sure (hopefully) they can be found, or is it living people with the same ancestors?

Hello Gloria,

Thank you for your post. I found a weddingphoto of 1898 of Fred Edmondson and Sarah Bullock.
Fred was born in 1878 and their daugther Margareth, my grandmother, on the 17th February 1900.
My mother didn't tell us about her grandparents Fred and Sarah, but did tell us quite a lot of
her grandfather Henry Parkinson. I would like to know more about my mother's life and family.
I'm going to try what is in a name to start with.
Met vriendelijke groet,

Bette

Hello Joanbette,

Just wondering if you have the correct family?

My grandparents Fred Edmondson (a twin born Extwistle 1878) and Sarah Bullock (born Nov 1878 at Halton West, Yorks) were married 6th Aug 1898 at St. Andrew's in Burnley. Theirs is the wedding photo that you have probably seen on this site.

Their daughter, Margaret, was born on Banks St. Lane Bottom in 1900 - however, she married Ernest Heap in July 1923 at St. Cuthbert's, Burnley and had one son, Joseph Cyril Heap.

Margaret's siblings were Vera, Joe, Arthur, Fred and Alan.

Hope this helps,
Sylvia

Hello Sylvia,

Thank you for your reply and I'm quite puzzled now. I'm very much afraid you're right and
I'm going to look further. I'll let you know what comes up. Groetjes, Bette
