Has anyone watched it?
We have been glued to the screen each week. What a fabulous program. I think it has finished now but is probably available on iPlayer.
It gave a great insight into the treatments and remedies of the time. This weeks touched on photographers. Many started out as pharmacies. I wonder how many photographers were not listed as such in the trade directories because their primary trade was a pharmacist? Or would they be listed as both?
It certainly explains why we all used to go to Boots to get the films developed! Something I've never thought about before.
