Towards the end of Newsletter Number 45 http://briercliffesociety.co.uk/Newslet ... etter=4557 Mary Bamford mentions 'Loose Potato Pie'. I've never heard of this....can anyone tell me what it is please?

I think it means a portion taken from a large pie - as opposed to an individual pie like chippies sell now. A bit like buying loose biscuits or loose tea

Oh right, thanks Maureen.
I goggled it after making this postand one link that came up suggested it could be more of a stew - like scouse or lobby
