This is great news for me. Despite this being my local archives, I rarely find (or make?) time to go. It will be frustrating for Ancestry users though as Findmypast will be the hosts.

Phase 1 of the project, consisting of over 1,800 parish registers, containing 2.8 million records, went live on 16 July 2014.

Rare Staffordshire records reveal WW1 hearings

The records, which should have been destroyed, document the Staffordshire tribunals for men appealing against conscription - introduced in 1916.
