http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/education/ ... alogue.aspIt struck me yesterday that not everyone is aware of the catalogue that is available on the Lancashire Record Office website. It is searchable and I have found it extremely useful in planning my visits.
I don't think they have all of their holdings in the catalogue, I recently viewed the Chester Probate Index and the Richmond Probate Index at the LRO. The details contained in these books are not in the catalogue (it would be a massive job to index them all I guess)...wonder what else isn't? It seems to be a catlogue of the documents they hold but don't quote me!
