I have received a query by email regarding a Nutter family, buried at Haggate. This is the gravestone in question - Ellen & Edmund Nutter. http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/Gra ... utter7.htm They lived at Bent Head. The lady (Maggie) also sent me a gravestone image of the son of Ellen and Edmund but does not know which cemetery it is in. (I will add the picture in the coming days.) The detail on the stone also mention Bent Head Farm. Does anyone know where this farm is/was please? I had a look in Rogers book but there is no mention of it. |

It's not in Brierciffe, think it's Brierfield, it's on Mansfield Crescent. |

Had a look in Barrett's Directory 1914, Bent Head is in Brierfield. Also old map http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/environmen ... ierfld.gif |
