Likewise. I had always presumed that due to there being a wall there, but the two photos I've got of the outside of the old chapel suggest it's on that side of the steps. The slope of the hill is all that's really there from the old photos (the relevant tombstones being, sadly, long gone)

I have but only a bit as she was my 3xgt grandfather's 2nd wife. I am pretty sure Maureen and Kris have a connection with her, but I don't think they have much info either.
I know her parents were William Leaver (born 1811) and Betty Duerden (born 1807), she was born 1830. That info I got from Chris Greenwood a member of the site.
Do you have a connection?
