Opening of St. Mary's Catholic Chapel, Burnley

This beautiful new church will be solemnly opened on Thursday, the 2nd of August, when the Catholic Bishop of Edinburgh, and several other bishops, are expected to attend. Great preparations are making that the opening may be on a scale worthy of the occasion and of the noble building itself. We are informed that vocalists of high standing will be procured for the occasion, but for their names, and all further particulars, we must refer our readers to the advertisement which will appear in our next Saturday's publication.
