Sorry about the dates I quoted on my last post. Sometimes my mind wonders, this time it beggared off completely.

St Peter's Burnley has two features, one which was possibly an old painted plaque above the entrance door with an adjacent date stone of 1790, and a carved sundial with a date of 1791.

Back to Elim Chapel. A visit to the Burnley library was more than worthwhile. They held a number of photographs taken by James Howell (a Burnley historian) both before its demolition and under partial demolition. The picture set also included a number of images of foundation stones plus several of the interior.
As luck had it, Mr Howell came into the library as I was looking at the pictures and gave me copyright to them.
Thanks to all who made suggestions on this post.
