For anybody with any history connection with Newchurch, there is a 'Newchurch History' event this weekend Saturday and Sunday, 10.00 till

6.00 both days.

Both days maybe busy and the parking will be bad so your guess is as good as mine.

For bus travel.Nelson No 7 goes though Newchurch every two hours to Clitheroe starting at 9.30 and then 11.30 etc with same return times.
No bus on Sunday as far as I know and if the weather is bad, two hour wait?
