Are there many Sutcliffe's in 'The Book' please Patricia.

We had Tom Sutcliffe (or his father, Sutcliffe Sutcliffe) running the watch makers in Colne Road for many years.

There are 62 in the alphabetical section for Burnley

2 entries under Watchmakers and Jewellers:-
Albert Sutcliffe, 89 Parliment Street, Burnley
Sutcliffe Sutcliffe, 118 Colne Road, Burnley

2 entries under Briercliffe:-
J. Sutcliffe, Manager, 45 Church Street, Briercliffe
M. M. Sutcliffe, weaver, Queen Street

There are 23 Sutcliffes in Nelson; 3 in Barrowford; 6 in Brierfield; 1 in Worsthorne-with-Hurstwood, 1 in Blacko; 1 in Roughlee Booth; 10 in Colne; 2 in Barnoldswick; 2 in Padiham;
and 3 in Sabden.

Tom sutcliffe the watchmaker was my grandfather and sutcliffe sutcliffe my great grandfather. Great to see their names on here.

Sutcliffe Sutcliffe was the brother of my Gt Gt Grandmother, Betty. There are pictures of her on the site if you are interested?
