Cock involved a knock on the head (for luck???) Hen, 'pull up the pen' or continue to yank your victims hair. Goose, can't remember, Feather, wish the victim good luck for ever. Or do I come from a very weird family?? |

If your family is weird then so was ours, I remember that. |

My friend still does this every year, which unfortunately when your in your 50's is a bit time consuming. Thankfully she has now condensed the years into tens. Cock, give them a knock (on head) Hen, do it again! Goose, let loose. I remember that one Feather, jolly good leather (slap on back), and good luck for ever. |

We did hair tugging for birthdays but never with a rhyme. We gave the bumps too. |

Forgotten about bumps, you spent the rest of the day at school nearly crippled because of someone dropping you. Those were the days. |

It was always done on your birthday with the rhyme every year. |
