I have received this email from Kirsty Morris. If anyone can help, please reply here.

I have been researching my late Granfather \'Albert J Morris\', I am hoping to set up a memorial website in his honour. He was well known in the area so if anyone has any articles, photographs or anything relating to him I will be greatly thankfull.

Are we talking the Briercliffe area? If so, Roger may be able to help.

Kirsty,

Albert was my uncle. Nice to see that you intend to set up a memorial site for him.

For those who didn't know Albert he was a well known character in the Barrowford and Nelson area. He was a local historian and inventor - he attempted the world manpowered flight record in his home-made plane, The Mayfly. He invented an ultra violet reflection system for safety in dense fog, a static powder system for stove enamelling and a new type of mousetrap.

I have a lot of Albert's history papers and would be happy to help in your project - please email me.

I thought the name rang a bell. Is it the same Albert Morris as the author of 'Rolling Out The Days'?
