I have pinched this idea from another site. Where do the old Briercliffe names come from------Kippax, Parker, Stanworth, Proctor, Sutcliffe etc. etc. Parker is believed to have come from Adam le Parc, the park keeper of Ightenhill. Any ideas on any more?
