Hi Folks,

I've come some way in the past months, filling in a good deal of my Family Tree. At this very moment I'm trying to track down the wife of Michael DRIVER, Fanny HEAP, who was born in about 1870 I'm guessing (1901 Census, when she's recently widowed, shows her as 31).

Reading here, turns out there are heaps of Heaps ... Drat! I was hoping she'd be the only one in the Village!

Are there any descendants of Michael (b 1860), James (b 1864) or John (b 1867) DRIVER out there? Or of their sisters Priscilla (b 1862) and Leah (b 1869). All the children of John DRIVER (b 1827) and Priscilla LEE (b 1827).]

Hi Ross - I was surprised to find internet hits for Michael Driver after his rather sad life... But surely Fanny Heap was born about 1863 (1891 Census) not 1870, perhaps 1901 age is 37 not 31? If she was born 1863, her father likely to be Edmund Heap?
I'm slowly adding partners to Michael driver's brothers & sisters, mainly from Lee family interest really.

Hallo there, Bernard and Maureen!

This is brilliant. I've started trying to track down the many children and see there's a good deal of work to do. It's always interesting when someone is found fairly young in 1901 as there are chances he or she might have children or grandchildren still living.

Rather nice to find that Edmund Heap (wonderful name!) was a butcher. Was he his own boss? Was there a "Heap's".

I've had considerable luck with some of my family in the Colne/Burnley area, tracing back to the Saxon times. My "Tree" in Ancestry.UK is public. "Christopher Ross Eldridge"

Lots to do this winter, then. And that seems to have started on the Northumberland coast ... awfully cold now. And deluging rain.
