I have sent Mel a new family tree for the Shoesmiths - there are many more additions and corrections. It should be noted it only goes back to James the father of James born 1677. It has been realised there is a generation missing in all St. Bartholomew's records in the 1600s so it is unsafe to assume connections to generations before this. I have to thank Judith Kimber of Wiltshire who connected with me through this site, and who I have worked closely with on the tree. Unfortunately Judith died on Friday night just after we had decided we had gone as far back as we could at this stage.

Really sorry to hear that Moh. Our sympathy to her family.

I am away at the moment and have only just received your email...not had chance to reply yet. As I'm away, I don't think I can upload your new file until I return. I will send you a reply later.

Caroline was going to send me details of Walter Thornber Shoesmith but I have lost her email address - if you come on here Caroline get in touch.
When is the new tree going on Mel?

It can go on now that I am back - I couldn't do that from France.
Will stick a post-it note on my screen so I don't forget.

Thanks for the reminder :)
