I descend from William Sutcliffe born 1843 in Blackhouse Lane, Briercliffe to Robert Sutcliffe and Elizabeth Heap.
Robert was the son of William Sutcliffe and Sarah (possibly Sutcliffe).
William and Sarah had several children. The family can be found on the Briercliffe census for 1841, 1851 and 1861 at Yeomans, Briercliffe.

Kris has submitted his Sutcliffe family tree for inclusion on the main site. It can be accessed at http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/paf/thomassutcliffe/index.htm

My own Sutcliffe file is also on the main site

Kris, have you ever looked for a baptism for Thomas Sutcliffe who married Elizabeth Hudson? I've been looking at your lot and checking the records that I have made notes of over the years but there isn't a one that matches your Thomas!!

As you know Thomas Sutcliffe was born at Colne circa 1805, but I have never been able to find a baptism for this man.

There couldn't possibly be 2 Alwyns. Ironic when you think about it.

I just had a look at FREE BMD and there was only one Alwyn Sutcliffe born at Burnley.

Very ironic.
