Is anyone connected with this name ?

Susanna DUCKET of Cop Row left an interesting will in 1846. Most people in the Row were in dire straits in the earlier 1840s, but Susanna (nee WATSON, hence my interest) was a shopkeeper, and owned property ! Son James became a builder in Burnley ; he is not to be mistaken for James who founded the well known sanitary/plumbing business in Burnley. Both fathers were John, to confuse the issue. I think they would be distantly related, and that the families probably came from Yorkshire originally. Much information about both James's in the Burnley papers later, see British Newspaper Archive. Both have obituaries (with pictures).

In fact Susannah's will initially includes bequests, via trustees, to all six of her children, equally, but a codicil just five days later excludes James, who would be about 16. This may be because he was due to receive property direct from his father, who died in 1838.
