Hi Everyone I'm doing research in the Briercliffe/Belfield family who were living in Smallbridge in Rochdale Lancashire in the early 1800's. This couple's 4 children were christened in St. Chad's CofE church in Rochdale but under the spelling of Britcliffe:- they were Mary,1826 James 1828, Betty 1831 and Charlotte in 1833. I know what happened to Mary and James was on the 1841 Census (he was a coalminer) living with the Turner family in Smallbridge but the others aren't on the 1841 Census. I'm hoping to find someone else researching this family or advice on how to find out what happened to them. I've just seen the above couples marriage and thought that this was a more likely even though the name is spelt Brierlcliffe. Any help or suggestions very much appreciated kind regards Dianna
