Hi I'm looking for information on William Burrows born around 1801 in Briercliffe/Marsden and Mary Duerden b 1807 if anyone can help? I have information on William and Mary's children but nothing on his and Mary's parents and beyond. He married Mary Duerden on 11 July 1836. I can find no information on Mary and it may be that she had been married before and this is her married name. Children were: James b 1838 Thomas b 1840 David b 1842 Elizabeth b ? Henry b 1848 Amy information very much appreciated. Many thanks Colleen |

Hi Colleen, welcome to the forum. Did you get the marriage from a website or did you view it in the Parish Records at a library? I ask because if you viewed them at the library, although the fathers name was not given in 1836, it would ( more often than not) give the bride and grooms status' as either widow/er or spinster/bachelor. Websites don't often give this info when the records are transcribed. |
