Has anyone researched Sally Jackson who married Joshua Jackson on 28.2.1797. I believe she was baptised in St Peter's Burnley on 27. 8.1778, father James. That would fit with her death age of 89 years on 20.1.1868. I believe she had a brother James baptised 15.2.1774, but I have found no other siblings. The only marriage I can find is James Jackson= Ellin Page 9.9.1773. ( Joshua and Sally had children James x2 and Ellin ). I have found a James Jackson baptised Burnley 27.2.1743 father Robert. Has anyone any thoughts on this?

I have Sally Jackson as you have, married to Joshua Kippax. I have 8 siblings for her--see my Kippax tree on home page.
I have a marriage for James Jackson to Mary Shackleton 3rd Jan 1761 St Peters Burnley. I have parents for James as Robert Jackson (1713-1789) and Anne (nee Thornton 1720-1782) marriage 26th May 1739 St Peters Burnley. They had 11 children.

Hi Gloria, I'm probably being stupid but I can only find children of Sally and Josh, no siblings for Sally.

Mary born 1769 died 1855, married John Taylor
John born 1771, married Nanny Greenwood
James born 1774, married Sally Knowles
William born 1776 died 1854, married Ellin Taylor
Sally born 1778
Jenny 1781

Children of Robert and Anne (nee Thornton) Shackleton--parents of above James
John born 1740
James born 1743
Anne born 1745
Mary born 1748
Ellen born 1753
Peggy born 1755
William born 1755
Thomas born 1760
Jonas born 1763
John born 1763
Betty born 1766

Interestingly there are two Annes is the family of James and Mary, and two Johns in Robert and Annes. Obviously the earlier ones died.

Thanks Gloria I had disregarded the earlier marriage between James and Mary Shackelton because I wasn't aware of the older siblings. Thanks for that.
