Mum and I have been to visit her elderly cousin today. He helped me to get started on the Sutcliffe family tree a number of years ago by providing me with the valuable info we all hope for from somewhere.
Anyway, the conversation always turns to tree at some point. I like to throw random questions or names at him that have cropped up in our family tree in the hope that it jogs someting new.

So todays new finding is that we have the name Saul in the extended family.

Lily Pollard b.1917, daughter of Mathew Pollard and Ellen Ann (nee Sutcliffe) married William Saul in 1939 at St Andrews. William was a teacher. They moved from Burnley to Sutton Coldfield and then somewhere near to Lancaster when William retired. Any connections anyone?
