My husbands 3x Great grandfather was James Cudworth born c. 1807 possibly in Worsthorne - any Cudworth descendants out there? |

My father knew a George and Ivy Cudworth? I'm afraid that is all I can remember, a bit before my time I think. He possibly was a student in Manchester at the same time as my father ( pre WW2) and probably lived in the Briercliffe Rd side of town, |

I have 17 of them on my Tree if look in the appropriate part of the site, descendandts of Hitchon/Smith. They are mainly 2nd/3rd cousins but you may of course find a connection. |

Many thanks for that shattonblade, James Cudworth was born in Worsthorne and from looking at the 1851 census it seems quite a few of the Cudworths were born there as well, so I would imagine that living in a smallish community and it not being a very common name that there would be some connection between them all. |
