Also, if you are up for a challenge, I have never been able to find Jeremiah’s wife, Priscilla Nutter, or her father Francis Nutter in the 1841 census.

I'll have a go after lunch Kris but 1841 doesn't follow the same rules as the later census making it a little more difficult. I'll do my best.

The only possibility I have seen so far is a Priscilla Nuttall in Bury. She is a female servant

I looked for unnamed Woodvine born 1821. there were 480-odd including variations but nothing remotely like Jeremiah.
I also looked for Jeremiah born 1821. I got fed up after 3000 but found nothing that could be it. It must be a really bad transcription wherever it is.

I didn't stop there Maureen. I looked for male, no name in Lancashire born 1820 then 1821 then 1822. I also did the same for Salop. His age does vary throughout the later census which makes it tougher on the 1841!

I have found a possible contender for Priscilla Nutter living in Cliviger.

HO107/506/6 folio 30? page 4
I think the address says Overtown. She is half way down the page on the right.
The name is listed as Riseiles Nutter.

That's a good possibility Mel. There's an Ann Nutter, aged 2 weeks, on 1841 with her. There was only 1 Ann Nutter born Burnley 1841 and there's 1 Ann Nutter death, aged 0, 1841 (both from Lancashire bmd). So if the child was hers that would explain why it doesn't show up with her on later censuses.

Kris, on the tree you have the actual date & place of Jeremiah's marriage. Do you have any more information (such as their addresses/ names of witnesses) ?
