I haven't traced these Nutters further back as the Veevers line is the one I'm most interested in. In 1881 Daniel Nutter, 21, and his brother John, 23, were the stepsons of John Stott. Presumably their father died and mother Elizabeth remarried.

I lost track of this topic, sorry folks I wasn't being rude - just a little busy and distracted.

I have the week from hell Monday through to Wednesday this week and then I will be able to concentrate a little better I hope.

Monday is last minute titivations, Tuesday is the major audit at work (at 2 day affair) and Wednesday is a recall at the Breast clinic. :(

I've just realised that I have gone emoticon mad recently. :!:

I've just been reviewing John Pollard, in light of the thoughts about the 1841 census and the possible years of birth and I might have to look at the tree that goes beyond him (back in time).

Anway first things first, let's nail down the death and work backwards as best I can from the stated age. It still looks as though the 1777 chappie is the one.

The problem with internet genealogy is it is quick and one makes quick mistakes with compounding results. This tree is on ancestry.co and someone has already latched on to it claiming them as family members all the way forward to my Grandma!

I will order the certificate now and see where we go.
