Has Roger stopped doing his Peek into the Past articles?
I have just clicked on the link at http://www.burnleyexpress.net/sectionhome.aspx?sectionid=12 and it took me to 'Picture Past' on the Pendle Today website.

there's an article in todays Burnley Express about the workhouse on Briercliffe Road - it shows a photo of the inside. It seems part of it is to be demolished.

It is a big site Mel and I know that I will not have got shots of all of it all.At least if we know which bit they are demolishing I can make sure we have plenty of photos of that area. :(

What will they build on the land? A new hospital?

One of our hospital blocks here in Stoke is the old workhouse and they are slowly closing it down, probably to demolish it.

Can't find it online Mel. Have scanned it and email on it's way. However it's virtually a full page so the scan's in bits. Sorry - I did my incompetent best!

Thanks again Maureen, I have received and read the article. It looks as though all the boarded up buildings will be demolished doesn't it.
At least there are attempts to save some of the inner features.

What a shame they are demolishing those buildings, in years to come they will wish they hadn't. I don't know what planet some of these planners are on.

I know what I call it when you look at what they put up in their place.
