There is a David Brooks at RG10/4148 folio 141 pg 10, 11 Wood St Burnley in 1871. He has Lund children living with him so I assume it is the same one.

You are a star Mel, thanks. All the David Brooks photos posted have an address of 14 Healey Wood, Burnley so at least we know they are pre 1891 as he was at 18 Healey Wood by the 1891 census.

Can you find him in 1901?

There is a James Brooks of Coal Clough lane, Burnley here http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/Pho ... isters.htm

The logo looks similar to the photo I just sent you (have you received the pic?), I wonder if they were related.

Hi everyone , was looking on the net to see if I could find a number for the address in coal clough lane of Brooks photography studio , when I came across this web page it has photographs address and some bdm certificates . May be theres a connection between theses Brooks. Brooks - Cartmell Later that year, Isabella married John Brooks and in 1888 their address was 66 Coal Clough Lane, Burnley. This is another family coincidence, because after ...

Thanks Sumo. I don’t see an immediate connection but they could be related. According to the census David Emmett Brook was born at Heywood circa 1832 and the John Brooks on this site was born at Skipton, 1860.

A few more David Brooks photos were added recently if anyhow is interested. http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/Pho ... men/11.htm

Hi Im new and came accroos this site researching my family from Burnley. I have obtained my Great Grandfathers birth certificate (Martin Stanton) and the address he was registered at in 1881 at his birth is:

14 Healey Road, Habergham, Eves.

Mother Annie Stanton (ne Mulloy)
Father Patrick Stanton Blacksmith.

I see that there may be two Healey Wood Roads and a Healey Row in the area. Also that the Burns family were on the census for 14 Healey Wood Road, the other Healey Wood Road doesnt seem to have a number 14.

Does any one have the answer to this puzzle??

Was there a Healey Road at any time or have the numbers on the other Healey roads ever changed?

Thanks :D

Welcome to the site.
I may be wrong but I thought there was only one Healey Wood Rd, it runs off Manchester Rd just below the roundabout. Maybe it used to run across the other side of the road??? I find a lot of the streets and rows around that area are no longer there, so may be no 14 has been pulled down??
Sorry not really an answer but maybe a bit to think about.
