Has anyone else come across the place name Feesons Green (variously Fesons, Pheasant, etc). It appears now and then in the earlier 19 c in Haggate Baptist and Burnley registers. It was in Burnley, not Briercliffe, but was 'near Burnley Lane Head'. I suspect it may be near Heasandford ('Pheasant Ford') ; perhaps an alternative for Widow Green. Not found in Census returns. Worth a look on Burnley Tithe map and schedule maybe (Burnley Library anyone, I'm 200 miles off !)

Roger Frost didn't know in a communication I had with him a few months ago !

Rex, as I was reading your message I thought Heasandford.
Why not try e-mailing Burnley Library, they may have a look for you. Worth a try, they are usually very helpful.
