Kris has submitted this image http://www.briercliffesociety.co.uk/Pho ... 0Road2.htm

Have I correctly labelled it as Briercliffe Road or should this section be Burnley Road? I get confused which end is which!

Not 100% sure BUT, on the right is Cop Row which is Burnley, so I would think it is Briercliffe Rd, Burnley. Behind the photographer is Burnley Rd, Briercliffe. Confusing lot these Sykers

8) In a previous life!!!!! I agree Cop Row on the right with the Craven Heifer in the distance on the right and a faint blur of a big property, should be a house which was next to Slaters Homes, now I believe is a health centre?. As far as I know, the Craven Heifer was the border!!!! Briercliffe Rd Burnley down hill and towards the camera, Briercliffe Rd, Harle Syke, I spent the first year of my life on Oaken Bank that is why I never qualified as a Syker :(

I thought it was the Commercial pub which was the boundary, any way its either Briercliffe Rd, Burnley OR Burnley Rd, Briercliffe.

The Commercial is the last building in Burnley (pre 1974).

My 2-gt grandfather was landlord of the Craven Heifer in the 1870s, but I've not yet negotiated a free drink...

You're right Rex, when you get past the Commercial there is the Harle Syke sign, just remembered that.

Gloria is correct, on my journey up to see the Sam Hannah films, I checked carefully, Briercliffe Rd, Burnley is the sign on the Commercial and across the road, Burnley Rd, Briercliffe.
