Can anyone tell me, is there a church in Extwistle and if so what is it called? I had a look at Genuki but it just says CofE and no detail.

Not that I know of Mel, in fact I am pretty sure there isn't. They seemed to use Haggate or St Peters. There is a church in Worsthorne which they could have used but I don't know when that came into being.

St Johns Church Worsthorne was built in 1835 before St James Briercliffe. Some people from the Roggerham and Extwistle area would have gone there. There wasn't a church or chapel at Extwistle.
