Not heard of it Kris. Have you any clues as to where it is?

No. I recently bought a postcard of this farm, and all it says is “Joblings Farm near Burnley”.

The card dates from about 1905, so maybe it does not exist anymore.

Anything in the background? Is it on a slope, near houses???? It doesn't ring a bell at all with me, I wonder if it was the name of the farmer/owner?

The image is a typical Lancashire farm house, stone walls, and what looks like a barn in the background.

I sent the image to Mel so she can add it to the site. I will post the link when it has been added.

I have found something on Google that sounds quite interesting, there was a Jobling family that obtained 1,550 sq acres of land plus 8 dwelling houses and other property erected thereon and situate in Clock Street Burnley and reserve by lease for 2,000 years. They were a Albert and Emma Jobling.

I wonder if this is where the Jobling farm came from? Clock Street is/was in Sandygate if anyone is familiar with Burnley.

I have looked in the index of Bennetts Burnley, and no mention of any sort of Jobling in there.

My Mum can remember visiting a Joblings farm when she was a girl though she only remembers it being in the Briercliffe area.
Not checked emails yet Kris and literally only just walked through the door so I'll look tomorrow.

O.H. says he has never heard of one in the Briercliffe area.
There isn't a mention of one in Roger's book either.

Jobling was the name of the farmer.

The farm mum visited was the first battery hen farm - we discussed it on the above link.

Same farm?

Mel, when you have some time, maybe you can add the photo. Perhaps someone will recognise it.
