This week my husband received a publishers' booklist from 'Naval and Military Press'. It includes an advert for the following book:
John Yarnall, 'Barbed Wire Disease', British and German Prisoners of War, 1914-19
It is described as being:
A comprehensive analysis of the 6.5 million prisoners of war that were being held at the time of Armistice day in 1918. Using unpublished official files and Cabinet papers, it examines all aspects of POW's in World War One.
It is available for £3.95 plus postage (reduced from £12.99)
We haven't seen the book but it looks as though it should provide some interesting background information and may also help you with research sources.
