I have a bible presented to my grandad, Hartley Stuttard, 'by the officers of Emmanuel Baptist Sunday School for enlisting in His Majesty's Forces during the European War'. Does this chapel still exist and did everybody enlisting get a bible. Also has anyone a photo of the chapel. At the time grandad was living at 14, Granville Street, Harle Syke so I am assuming the chapel was in that area.

The building still exists at Approx 3 Bright St. But has long since ceased to be a Chapel. With care you can still make out the original name plate in the plaster work. I don't think you can see it too well on Google street view. But if it important to you I have an image of the plaque.
