)and I'm a bit woolly headed.
It's my Thistlethwaite branch yet again.
There is a record of John Thistlethwaite
his son William b.1730 m. Hannah Sergeant in 1751
their daughter Sarah m 1773 to John Slingsby
and there is record of their 6 children from 1773 onwards.
At Skipton library I also found a ref. to a George who married a Sarah Heaton 1722 in Carleton
George died 4.11.1768
Sarah died 19.12.1772 both in Carleton
It seems odd that John has only William recorded and no other children? Also a s Williams daughter appears to have been born there, no siblings reported?
This is probably another wild goose I'm chasing but a fresh look may see something I'm missing.
George may have been John's brother???
I will bravely battle one, disturbing the world with my loud sneezes, someone has to wash up and cook, eh?
