I have hit a brick wall and am hoping for some assistance
I ordered the marriage certificate of my earliest ancestor, Robert Hirst. Unfortunatyely it has very little information on it and only one parent name, John Hirst, labourer.
Robert Hirst was born about 1820-1825 to Hannah Harker who only seems to have a mother, no father (Ann Harker) and Hannah was born April 6 1823.
They married Mar 20 1843 in Burnley. On that certificate it states Hannah was of full age and Robert a minor. That would make Hannah 20 and Robert about 21 so not a minor, possible that was a mix up?
Later censuses tell me that Robert was born in Briercliffe.
in 1861 census he was age 39 born Briercliffe
in 1851 age 30 born Burnley
1871 he was 49 and born Bristol Gloucestershire!
1881 he was 60 and born Burnley
These are all definitely the same person.

So basically what I am looking for is Roberts birth, his parents, siblings etc.
I have tried to find Robert in the 1841 census to help me narrow that down and found this one:
John Hirst M 30-34 Lancashire
Mary Hirst F 40-44 Lancashire
Mary Hirst F 9 Lancashire
James Hirst M 4 Lancashire
William Henry Hirst M 2 Lancashire
Robert Hirst M 15-19 Lancashire
The ages seem very strange though, Is John a brother? Or a 15 yr old father? Or something else?

Now this John and Ann had several more children so I am hoping someone is connected to this family and can either confirm or rule out this possibility.
