A BIT of "Monkee" businessis swinging into Burnley tonight.
Peter Tork, of Sixties music and TV stars The Monkees, is making a special appearance at the Sun Inn, Harle Syke, in a gig which promises some of the group's biggest hits, such as "Daydream Believer", "Last Train to Clarksville" and "I'm A Believer" as well as his own solo material.

He will be starting his set at the pub in Burnley Road at 8-30 p.m. but is expected to be in the pub from 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Landlord Mr Chris Toothill said big crowds were expected. "It is pretty amazing to get someone like him playing here and it should be a brilliant night," he added.
