We are and I have had a message from Portia to say she will be there.
That is assuming there is no snow between now and 2:30pmish when we plan to leave! We have wintery showers forecast here. I think it is just rain up there.

I believe it is on the 30th. I didn't think I would be able to make it originally as we haven't booked a trip back from France but I do now think we will be home by then....assuming we don't have issues at Calais with migrants.

The September meeting of the Local History Group is to take place at the Weavers Triangle Visitor Centre, Manchester Rd, Bunley at 7pm on Wednesday 30th Sept. The change of venue is to allow members to see the groups photographic exhibition at the centre. There will also be a conducted tour, a discussion about the society's forthcoming Heritage Lottery bid and a short PowerPoint presentation by Roger Frost.

Yes we are hoping to go, we have rung Roger. It's dead easy to find, about 5 mins from motorway, on Manchester Rd just below roundabout which goes off down Centenary Way. Must be signposted. If in doubt follow the canal :lol:

I've spoken to Roger. Mum and I will be there. I've been on google maps and know where I'm going....roughly. Think I might take a life jacket in case I take a wrong turn. I will be following the satnav! :shock:
