Can anyone help. I have 2 football medals of my granddads and am trying to identify which team they might be linked to. On the front of the medals are the letters BRFC. On the back of one it says Hartley Stuttard 1912 - 1913. On the back of the other medal is just H Stuttard. Google for BRFC comes up with Blackburn Rovers FC but maybe someone has other ideas so that I can follow up further.

Maybe Briercliffe Rovers FC. Roger Frost's History has a photo of them in 1912 : would you recognise Hartley ?

With all due respect, they probably weren't in the same league, in more senses than one, as Blackburn Rovers !!

I did scan, and tried to attach, but the 'file' was too big !

Roger's book will be in Burnley library, and no doubt others in the area.
