Just to let any one know who wants to visit Burnley library that the Thompson Centre (leisure centre) next to the library has now been demolished and a new pay and display car park has replaced it. Parking close to the library has always been difficult. This makes it so much easier as it is literally on the doorstep! It is on a one way system. I found it easiest to access it by driving down Manchester Road, turn right along Elizabeth Street, left at the end opposite the police station and then first right. Thompson Centre Car Park. Up to 3 hours I think was £2. Over 3 hours £5.
Happy researching!

Thanks Pollyanna. I spotted this car park when I was in Burnley two weeks ago and couldn't understand why I hadn't seen it before. Now I know!
I have always parked on the other side of Centenary Way but the car park there does fill quite quickly.
