If you are not aware of this site I find it an excellent resource for free books in design, architecture, history and much more. On the main page I browse under the heading TEXTS where you can place any search e.g Burnley and you will find a number of scanned books to download. I tend to click on HTTP (if available) and select jp2 format being of a higher quality.
