Thanks to Jacquie Crosby at Lancashire Archives, who has advised us of these taster sessions:

Get Online - Family History: an introduction to digital resources for
family history at Lancashire Archives on Tuesday 16 October 10.00am and 11.30am
These 1-hour taster sessions are for people new to family history. They will introduce you to some of the online sources which can help you research your family tree including:
· Registrar General's Indexes to Births, Marriages and Deaths (1837 – 2006)
· Census Records – every 10 years from 1841 – 1911
· Historic maps
· Lancashire's Image Archive

2012 is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and we
will use one of the passengers to show you how these different
sources link together to give you a picture of his life.
