On Saturday 17th November, the Institute of Local & Family History at the university of central Lancashire |(UCLAN) are holding a day on which the attendees will study and discuss a number of issues of 'Poverty & Welfare in Victorian Lancashire' . Workhouse records will be looked at, and some emphasis centred on Bolton, Preston & Ormskirk Unions.

Fees £15 - Details from Susan Bailey at the Institute: - SMBailey@uclan.ac.uk

This is the start of a study which will last into the future.

I can do Saturdays :D but, the emphasis not being on the area of my interest makes me wonder if I can use that Saturday better elsewhere :roll:
