Taken from LFHHS yahoo forum I have been told that the refurbished Manchester Central Library is to re-open on 22 March 2014. As always with such big projects, there may be slippage but as we are so close in time I think it not very likely. For information about the Library and the new facilities, have a look at its site Archives+ at http://www.archivesplus.org/ |

I'll be glad to see it re-open. The temporary facilities for family history research are awful. Even Burnley library has better microfilm & microfiche equipment |
