Ancestry is offering free access to its entire UK records collection from 4 to 10 May as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of VE Day.

The family history website’s millions of UK records include census and parish records, military records, and the 1939 Register, which records the civilian population of England and Wales on the eve of the Second World War.

Thanks Gloria. One of their new collections may be of interest to members...

The Lancashire WWII Home Guard records are an exciting new collection which provides key information on each recruit. Details include address, rank and their relatives. With 60,851 records to explore, start your search here: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/collections/62084/

Just renewed my Ancestry membership. Found 50% off an annual UK Premium membership (all UK and Irish records) £60 instead of £120. Great value.

Can't remember just how I found it, but do a search for 'Ancestry' with 'voucher' or 'code'.

So I'll see if I can find any more rogues in my family. Or saints.

Rex
