Lancashire Vagrant Passes have been added to Ancestry.

These are lists of people who required financial assistance but lived in parishes where they were unable to claim poor relief. A lot of the vagrants in this dataset would have been Irish immigrants and would often have been sent back to Ireland from Liverpool.

The info provided varies but you might find name, brief description and date of removal.

Ancestry offer before end of Dec. £69.99 for 12months Premium membership. Very good value that, might just do it.

I noticed Find My Pasthad a good offer - possibly half price annual. I suspect a lot of people are doing what I do and swapping around and that they are losing out on annual membership. Good news for subscribers though :D

I have taken the ancestry one. About £1.35 a week, very good value. Too good to miss.

I am not sure just what to expect, but more than just European I hope. I'd be a bit disappointed if it just said that.
